1) DR Byen

In November 2005, the first building in DR Byen was taken into service and during 2006 and 2007, even more DR employees got a new workplace. The building consists of four segments, each with its own architecture, all connected together across Indre Gade (Internal Street) at second-floor level. Concert Hall, designed by Jean Nouvel, opened in January 2009.


2) Mikado House

Purpose: Office, retail trade, café and housing

Arkitema Architects have moved their Copenhagen headquarters from Søndre Frihavn to Ørestad North. In cooperation C.W. Obel, Arkitema has developed the plans for the building. Besides Arkitema's headquarters, Mikado House also contains offices, a fitness centre and the Copenhagen branch of CB Richard Ellis. 

3) Metropolen

Construction period: Taken into service in October 2010

Purpose: Commercial

PensionDanmark and Arkitektgruppen have erected Metropolen, a 7-storey office complex. The ground floor houses the supermarket Fakta Q and Nordea. The other floors contain offices, including those of the Danish Pension Agency. The office building is located at Njalsgade in Ørestad North, close to Islands Brygge metro station.

4) Nordea

CPH City Port Development has sold a portion of the land next to DR Byen in Ørestad North to Nordea Ejendomme. Around 2,200 employees in Nordea will work in the new headquarters from 2017. 

5) Amager Hospital, psychiatric ward
Area sold: 17,000 m2
Construction period: Taken into service in November 2001

Purpose: Hospital psychiatric ward

Amager Hospital is the local hospital for about 150,000 people in Dragør and Taarnby Municipality, Amager East and Amager West. The hospital can accommodate 130 patients and is located near Sundby metro station and Amager Fælled. The hospital merged with Hvidovre Hospital on January 1st 2012, with joint executive and administrative units.



6) Danica Ejendomme

Danica Ejendomme has built an office building on the corner of Vejlands Allé and Ørestads Boulevard. Tenants include the Icelandic airline Primera Air and Teleperformance Denmark.



7) HOFOR – Vejlandshuset

HOFOR's headquarters in Ørestad City is located near the Bella Centre metro station. The interior of the white, cubical building is a large bright atrium. Vejlandshuset also houses other leases. For example, NIRAS and Carlson Wagonlit Travel are also housed in Vejlandshuset.



8) Company Park

Aberdeen Property Investors Denmark A/S owns this four-story office building. The property is part of a business park concept with common facilities for all companies in the building and is located between the Bella Centre and the Fields shopping centre. At present, Masterfoods, Biogen Idec. Denmark and Nikon among others are tenants.

9) Winghouse

Purpose: Commercial and parking

DADES has erected this business complex. It is built directly on top of the carpark facility Kay Fisker, behind Ørestad Gymnasium in Ørestad City. This property is rented out in smaller units. The tenants include Unilever Denmark and Helm Scandinavien.



10) KLP Ejendomme (1)

Norwegian-owned KLP Ejendomme A/S built this eight-storey office building, which is centrally located in Ørestad City of Arne Jacobsens Allé 15-17. KLP Ejendomme offers rental properties of varying size, from approximately 500 m2 adapted to the particular needs of each company or institution. Atkins, Handelsbanken, Medicon Valley Alliance, UCB Nordic, Dell, Novo Nordisk Scandinavia, Accenture and Ericsson Danmark are currently tenants in the building.



11) KLP Ejendomme (2)

Norwegian-owned KLP Ejendomme A/S has also built another office building on Arne Jacobsens Allé 13 near Ørestad Station. The office building is located next to KLP Ejendomme A/S's first office building. KLP Ejendomme offers rental premises of various sizes. Sophus Berendsen, AstraZeneca, Bayer, Sandoz, Zürich Nordic and the Danish Transport Authority, among others, are currently tenants.

12) CABINN Metro

Purpose: Hotel

CABINN Metro has 710 rooms and 1,700 beds and is located in Ørestad Down Town in Ørestad City. The hotel building was designed by the world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind. One of the elements of the general plan for Ørestad Down Town is a 10,000 m2 extension of the hotel and an additional 200 parking spaces. The overall project is called CABINN Village and consists of 290 new double rooms with a kitchen, a new office hotel with 200 office workplaces and a conference hall with, among other features, a television studio of 1,200 m2. The new part of CABINN Village will be designed by COBE.

13) Neroport

Norrporten has built the office complex Neroport in Ørestad City next to Ferring. In addition to offices, the building also has an atrium with space for a restaurant and other activities. The insurance company Skandia and Bombardier Transportation Denmark A/S are tenants in Neroport.

14) Ferring

Purpose: Pharmaceutical business

Ferring was one of the first companies to move into Ørestad. As part of the move to Ørestad, Ferring gathered its activities from Malmö, Copenhagen and Kiel in its 20-floor headquarters building. The Ferring International Centre houses the core functions such as product development, working with the registration of pharmaceutical products and international marketing. The building is owned by Norrporten.

15) SEB Pension/Rambøll

Construction period: Taken into service in August 2010

Purpose: Offices

SEB Pension and the engineering and consulting company, Rambøll, have built a 40,000 m2 office building in Ørestad South. Rambøll is the primary tenant and has moved in with about 1,400 employees, but the company 3M is also a tenant in the building. The building is located on Hannemanns Allé in Ørestad South, close to Ørestad station, Field's shopping centre, the metro and the Ørestad motorway.



16) Copenhagen Towers
Area sold: 129.200 m2
Construction period: The first phase was taken into service in November 2009. 
Architect: DISSING+WEITLING in cooperation with Foster + Partners
Purpose: Commercial - offices, conference facilities and hotel

The complex includes three tall tower blocks of 20 storeys. The other buildings in the complex are 7-9 storeys high. 



17) Copenhagen Arena
Rented area: 35.000 m2
Construction period: taken into service beginning of 2017

The City of Copenhagen and Realdania are building Copenhagen's new indoor arena in Ørestad South. The arena hosts major musical, cultural and sporting events. Work is also proceeding on the planning for the entire surrounding urban area. CPH City & Port Development is making a site available for the arena.
